Earth is over populated. Leo’Nya Zesiro is one of the pilots charged with finding and cataloging new "housing options". Life is lovely, at least until her vessel is attacked and she finds herself stranded on a newly discovered, un-cataloged planet.
On a planet where males out number females 1-7, Erol knows from the beginning that Leo'Nya is the female he's been waiting for... now he has to keep her from leaving until she realizes it.
Leo finds the beauty and peace she's always longed for, but there are hidden dangers on Nur. The men might do all the cooking, but they also tend to steal you, that is if they can kill your current owner. If she can stay alive, she might just make it home in one piece. At least if she can manage not to fall in love with the caveman who's trying to keeper her.

This is the first book I've read for this author, and although I agree with some of the other reviews that claimed spelling and grammar errors, I do think this author has something you really want to read. I'm not a professional reviewer nor do I have a degree which would enable me to rate this book as others might. But I am an avid erotic/romance reader and have thousands of kindle books to prove it. After all those books I think I have a pretty good grip on what is good and what isn't.One of the main issues I see with this book is that the author is setting up for a series of books to roll off of this one, and had some difficulty getting what she wanted in this book to prepare for the coming ones. At points it is distracting as you are reading along and then find your reading something totally different in the story line that just doesn't seem to add up. However if you stick through it to the end you will come up with the conclusion that the author was getting you primed for several other stories to come.
With that being said, this book was a 3 1/2 star for me because if you took out all the grammar and spelling errors and kept a couple of the side stories and threw the others out you would see that there is some heart to this book. If you like sci-fi romance with aliens, humans, different worlds and cultures and even shifters which are referred as phasing. You would find a really good read. The names, ideas and story line were quite unique and entertaining. I think with a little refinement that this author could be on the top of reader's lists.
So don't count this book out, read it and disregard the spelling and grammar errors, and some of the side stories and focus on Leo her Mate Erol and Leo's sister Avi and her crew and I'm sure you will love this book.

Claimed The Warriors of Nur edition by CC Coats Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I thought the book was good BUT!!!... it kept going from character to character. Characters that didn't even matter. It just took away from the story between the main characters. I probably won't read the second book but I enjoyed this book. Once it finally got back to the main characters. It just jumped around too much for my taste.
I have just finished reading "Claimed" and I have to say, if I had chosen not to read this book because of the reviews I would have missed out. This was one of the most soul-touching story about family, love & protecting both I have read. Even though the setting is on another planet and a human and alien fall in love (which is fictional??)I could not put this book down. For others out their who have passed over this story because you read the reviews first, DON'T. I can't wait for the next one "Bound" to be pubished. HURRY UP!!!
This book was a bit different from some of the alien books I've read. I really enjoyed how the two sisters were determined to get back to each other, no matter what. It was also the only thing that kept Nya and Erol from bonding completely. Looking forward to the next book. No cliffhanger.
Great start to this series. yeah yeah yeah, I read the reviews where people were going on and on about the punctuation and grammar and need for editing. I'm sure C.C. Coats is like many other writers, self published. Yes there are punctuation and grammar errors but honestly I didn't think there were that many to actually comment on. I do think she should invest in an editor to help with those things, but by no means did the editing errors detract from the story.
For me personally I felt that the characters, both primary and secondary, were all well developed. I also enjoyed the fact that there is a main story and a couple secondary stories being told as well. I feel these sub/secondary stories being told now, will bear fruit as the series continues. I am also biased in that I love alien romance love stories. The writer goes to great lengths to describe the world, its inhabitants, the culture, the religion, their food etc. To me, this makes a great story. You become submerged in the world. When the story ended I was disappointed. Not because it was a bad story, but because I wanted more.
Only negative- too long between stories, and this is just because I'm greedy and want more. I think it's a year between this book and the 2nd one Bound. And because I've read Bound now as well, I'm now impatiently awaiting the 3rd book.
C.C. Coats, keep up the good work. I'm enjoying the series and see the potential this has to be great.
the other reviewers are correct with regards to numerous spelling and grammar errors. For the price and since it is self-published, I can usually overlook them, but there were so many that it really detracted from the story. I urge the author to edit her story and re-release it.
Another problem I had was the overabundance of side stories. There are really two main stories going on what happens with Leo as she comes to terms with Erol's claim on her and what happens with her sister Avi and Avi's crew as they try to locate Leo. But then there are also sub-stories with a doctor and her mysterious medical condition, Missy, D, another Aljeni. It was too much and detracted from the storyline. I can appreciate that the author was trying to set-up for a series of books, but it felt like she was trying to set-up for half a dozen stories and it just became annoying.
I also didn't care for the derogatory name calling of lesbians and transvestites. It was just mentioned a couple of times, but since it came out of characters who are supposed to be seen as sympathetic, I didn't appreciate the labels.
The idea of this story was good and if there had been a heavier hand at editing for both grammar as well as deleting the side stories, this really would be a strong Sci-Fi romance offering. The heroine is likable and the hero even more so.
